Public Discussion - Practice and Process of a young artist in Kosova
The path of an artist is built not only through exhibitions and awards but also through the process, research, experimentation, and daily work.
In this open conversation with Renea Begolli, a visual artist and researcher based in Pristina, we discuss her beginnings in art, the formation of her artistic practice, and the steps that have shaped her journey as a young artist in Kosovo.
The discussion focuses on the creative process and research work, touching on fundamental themes in her works such as memory, the body, and ecology, as well as how the body is treated as an archive of personal and collective experience.
Through selected works and research by Renea, we explore the responsibility of working with memory in the context of post-war Kosovo, as well as the role of institutions and the art scene in the development of artistic practice.
