What are you waiting for?

"What Are You Waiting For?" explores the existential pursuit of purpose and the intrinsic conflict between anticipation and fulfillment. The act of waiting is not merely a passive state; rather, it is a profound engagement with time and existence. The artworks are inspired by my personal experiences in New York City in the summer of 2024, where the overwhelming environment profoundly affected my sense of self. The constant influx of information and stimuli prevented me from maintaining a sense of physical self-awareness. This realization prompted me to depict not only my own body but also the bodies of others, specifically strangers in the subway. These transient observations, during which I contemplated the lives and experiences of these individuals, led to a contemplation of the social differences, class dynamics, and racial aspects that shape our collective reality.
