2023-2025

In the Jungle Room, Renea explores complexity, materializing Haraway’s call to "stay with the trouble" to acknowledge and engage with the messiness, the unresolved, and the entangled contradictions of existence. Figures emerge in multiple iterations, and upcycled materials transform, taking on new forms and creating a dense, layered ecosystem. Renea has used most of the leftover materials here that she has collected from previous exhibitions, realized or unrealized ideas. In some iterations of the work, Renea collaborated with her mother, Arijeta Shala Begolli, to incorporate delicate hand-crafted pieces into the installation.

It represents a need to reclaim the sense of wonder, the mysticism that nature once inspired in us. Renea reminds us of our need to reconnect with the natural world, not merely as something to be studied, exploited, or controlled, but as something worthy of awe.
